This song was the third track into the album Different Light. Walk Like and Egyptian was relased on September, 1986. This single got the position number one in different charts like: U.S. Billboard Hot 100, Australian Singles, German Singles, Belgian Single and Dutch Single. It received certified silver in United Kingdom and certified platinum in The Netherlands. Walk Like and Egyptian was considered one of the songs most inappropriate after the September 11th, 2001 because its apparent reference to the Egpytian. However the song was written with a noble reason: Liam Sternberg decided to write this song after seeing people walking through the ferry by trying to keep their balance. The former members were: Annette Zillinskas, Alicia Trigelars and Michael Steele, and the current ones are: Susanna Hoffs, Debbi Peterson and Vicki Peterson. This female band is present since 1981.
