This song was the B-side to song “Don’t” which was released in 1958. “I Beg Of You” spent 12 weeks on the Top 100 chart, peaking at #8. Also, it peaked at #4 on the Rhythm and Blues Chart and #5 on the Country Disc Jockey Chart. “Don’t” and “I beg of you” were huge Elvis’ hits and some reports claim over 1 million copies were sold. The song was written by Rose Marie McCoy, which was one of the most influential and prolific songwriters of the 1950’s and 60’s, and Kelly Owens.
