On December 6th, 1971, John Lennon and Yoko Ono released the song Happy Xmas (War is Over). The one features by a children singing in the background made by the Harlem Community Choir. The lyrics is a protest about the Vietnam War. Different artists have used as a cover like: Maroon 5, the Street Drum Corps, Celine Dion, Neil Diamond and Shinedown. This single made part of the list of Plastic Ono Band the group formed by John Lennon and Yoko Ono before the dissolution of The Beatles.

It has great meaning to me as I had 2 close friends commit suicide on December 8th…One friend Victor did it 15 minutes after John was killed,the other Greg did it 3 years ago distraught obver the death of his daughter in a car crash and he felt responsible for Vic’s death….
