This songs gave the title to the fourth record by the band Simply Red. The song is one of the major hits of this Bristish band.

Stars song has its own cd with other songs like Something Got Me Started, another big success by Simply Red.

The album has been ranked at #80 on the Q Magazine list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Of All Times. The great success reached with this album made the band prepared a tour that took nearly 2 years around the world. The record was released on September 30, 1991.

The band was active until 2010 when the last member of the original band, Mick Hucknall, said bye finally . The last concert took place at the O2 Arena in London on December 19, 2010.

One of the most important bands in 70s was The Stylistics. Many of their singles became super hits like “You Are Everything”, “I’m Stone in Love with You”, “Stop, Look, Listen (To Your Heart)” and finallly You Make Me Feel Brand New, a single co-written by Linda Creed and Thom Bell that sold around one million copies around the world.

Different singers like Phil Perry, Rod Stewart, Jay R, Norman Brown and Simply Red have used as a cover on their own records. The most popoular cover versions is the one made for Jay R who included it on his album “Soul in Love” in 2008.

The Stylistics included this wonderful soul song on their records “Rockin’ Roll Baby” and “Let’s Put it All Together” during 1973 and 1974.

The group continues working until these days, in fact, they are in concerts nowadays across UK and Ireland. The last album they released was “That Same Way” in 2010 with the members after James Dunn and James Smith departed from the group.
