It also was the first number one single of the Wilson Phillips, which is an American vocal group consisting of Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips. Carnie and Wendy are the daughters of Brian Wilson, who is a songwriter, bassist, and singer of the American rock and roll band The Beach Boys. On the other hand, Chynna is the daughter of The Mamas & the Papas’ band members John and Michelle Phillips. This song also reached the #1 on the US adult contemporary chart during a week. In 1991, the song received a nomination for Song of the Year.
