Drive is the biggest hit of American rock band, The Cars. The song reached the best peak position in different charts around the world: United States (#3), Canada (#6) and United Kingdom (#5). It has been used on the film Transformers when Bumblebee plays the theme to encourage Sam Witwicky performed by Shia LaBeouf to give his love to Mikaela Banes performed by Megan Fox. Also, it was used on the comedy film 50 First Dtes starring Adam Sandler. It apparead when Henry Roath (Sandler) was driving after Lucy Whitmore (Crew Barrymore) had broken up with him. The album where this song was included (Heartbeat City) received 4x certified Platinum by RIAA in 2001. The band was active until 1988. Their last compilation album was released in 2005. It was titled The Essentials with great hits like Shake it Up, Magic, You Are the Girl, Candy-O and Tonight She Comes.
