Smooth is the most popular work of Santana after the single, Black Magic Woman in 1971. With this album, he got 15 certified platinum and 9 Grammy Awards like Best Album of the Year, among others. It was calculated more than 25 million copies in selling around the world. Thomas was not the only one in collaborating on the album. Other artist like Erick Clapton, Lauryn Hill and Dave Matthews did it.
