Smooth Operator together to When Am I Going to Make a Living, Turn My Back On You, Cherish the Day and Feel No Pain were one of the most popular songs from the English group Sade. The single was in the top forty Charts in countries like: Austria, United States, Irland, UK and France. The single was nominated at MTV Video Music Awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Video in 1985. It was included into their debut album titled Diamond Life that received multi-platinum certified in Canada, Germany, France, Netherlands and United Kingdom.
