Livin’ La Vida Loca was the song that opened the doors to the world not only to Ricky Martin but also other latin artists like Shakira, Paulina Rubio, Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias among others. The song reached the peak position at number one on U.S. Billboard Chart during five weeks. However, on Rolling Stone Magazine it was ranked as one of the most 20 Annoying Songs. The single got a certified Gold in Germany, Sweden and Norway, and certified Platinum in the U.S. and Australia. The single received six 1998 MTV Video Music Awards nominations for Viewers Choice, Best Choreography, Best Dance Video, Best Male Video, Video of the Year and Best Pop Video.
