It was the lead single of the second studio album from the American Rock Band Nirvana which was titled Nevermind. The song was written as an attempt to write a single with the style of the Pixies. One of the most favorites band admired by Kurt Cobain. The song got a certified Platinum by RIAA. Rolling Stones Magazine ranked it at #9 into the List of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time in 2004. It received two Grammy Awards nominations for Best Rock Song of the Year and Best Hard Rock Vocal Performance. The band was active until 1994. Third and last compilation album was released in 2005.
