Several versions of this song were released, and all of them had relative success in 1999 and 2000. The main version is a country ballad that spent eight consecutive weeks on the Billboard magazine Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, but even it was popular at the pop radio stations reaching #24 on the Billboard Hot 100. Afterward, a new remixed version was released and the song re-entered in the Hot 100. This time, the song reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 during two weeks. Actually, “Amazed” was the first country song to hit #1 on the Hot 100 since 1983 when Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton achieved it with “Islands In The Stream”.
