Many people don’t forget the debut album by Enya. Watermark spread all over the world quickly because Enya showed different ranges of her beautiful voice. The conclusion? People in 80′s loved much more New Age genre.

Watermark included two of her most popular singles: “Storms in Africa” and Orinoco Flow. This last single was released in 1988 as the lead single of this record by reaching the peak position at number one in different countries.

The title of the single has been reason of speculations. Some people have said it is a reference for Orinico river in Venezuela because it appears in the music video. Other people have ensured the title is a reference to Orinoco Studios.

The song was re-released ten years later and it was also known as “Sail Away”, one phrase is repeated in the chorus.

Enya has released nine records between them two compilation albums. “A Day without Rain”  has been her best-selling record which she released in 2000 but it became so popular after 9-11 event.
