This is one of the most popular Christmas/New Year holiday songs ever. Happy New Year was initially released in 1980 as part of the album Super Trouper. The single was released as a single in Portugal, Brazil and Japan. It was re-released in 1999 and 2008 by getting good positions on Europe charts (Germany #78, Sweden #27 and The Netherlands #15). The song also was translated into Spanish language with the title Felicidad. The teen version got a certified gold in 1999. This ones contained the versions for radio and extended version. Next year, the band will have a new museum which probably is going to be open in Stockholm.
