Frank Sinatra popularized this french song into his self-titled album in 1969. The adaptation of the lyrics was written by Paul Anka. The lyrics talks about a man who is nearing death. Next August 28th TCM will celebrate the Summer Under the Stars programming festival with 24 hours of Frank Sinatra films, the titles programmed are: Higher and Higher, Step Lively, The Kissing Bandit, Anchor Aweigh, On the Town, Take me Out to the Ball Game, High Society, The Tender Trap, Sergeants and Suddenly.
