Under the Bridge is considered the biggest success by the alternative rock band, Red Hot Chili Peppers. The song was included on the album Blood Sugar Sex Magik and won a MTV Video Music Award as Best Music Video which was directed by Gus Van Sant, one of the well-recognized American film directors.
As it’s common for different succesful singles of all times, Under the Bridge wasn’t thought to be included on this album because the tempo of the song is quite differento from the rest of their single. The one is more a power ballad than a alternative rock single precisely.
The single has been re-released twice together to other popular singles of this band like Suck My Kiss, I Could Have Lied and Give It Away.
Blood Suar Sex Magik was ranked by the Rolling Stones as one of the best 500 albums of all time by placing on the position #310.
Red Hot Chili Peppers released I’m With You, their tenth studio album this year. This is the first album with the new guitarist, Josh Klinghoffer, who filled in John Fusciante shoes.
The band will continue their We’re with You Tour in 2012 by beginning in Sunrise, Florida next January 20th.
