During two weeks this song was a number one hit in UK and Australia in 1980. It also reached the peak position #14 on Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. The music video was premiered on August 1st, 1981 on MTV. Brass in Pocket was used on the film Lost in Translation by Scarlett Johansson who sang the song to Bill Murray’s character in a karaoke bar. Thanks to the great popularity reached for this single in the 80′s, the song has been ranked into the VH1′s 100 Greatest Song of the 80′s Countdown. The entire album got a certified Gold and Platinum by RIAA in 1980 and 1982. This year, the band released its last material titled Break Up the Concrete.
